A note for you, not page copy

I put the phone first rather than a map, and that is on purpose. Everything you sell changes week to week, and the question somebody actually has is whether you have got it in right now. A map does not answer that. You do.

Those three lines at the top are not mine either. Two of them are the summary Google itself writes at the top of your listing, and the third is Leann Anderson from two months ago.

Hours and where to find it

The hours are the whole reason I built this

You are closed Sunday and Monday right now, and that is on your Google listing. Come March that will not be right, because a nursery in spring does not keep August hours.

Here is the problem. Nobody has claimed your Google profile, so Google is still offering “Claim this business” to anybody who looks you up. Until somebody does, those hours cannot be changed by you. They can be changed by strangers. That is free to fix and it takes a few minutes.

What we carry

Your list, not mine This is the part of the page you write. I know from your reviews that people come for hanging baskets, roses and the nursery stock, and that somebody buys six baskets every year for Mother's Day. I am not going to guess at the rest of it in front of a man who grows it.
Why there is no plant list and no prices here

You do not publish either, and a nursery's stock turns over week by week. A list I invented would be wrong by the time you read it, and it would be wrong in the way that costs you a drive out here.

What works instead is a short seasonal line you change a few times a year. What is ready now. What is coming. What is finished. Four or five words each.

The reviews

4.6across 133 Google reviews
Two things in here worth more than the rating

Sara Hughes wrote that she was referred to you by Ace Summit. The hardware store up the road sends people to you. That is the kind of thing a website should say out loud and yours has nowhere to say it.

And Google puts Walmart Garden Center in your competitor set. They are on 4.0. You are on 4.6 across 133. A stranger comparing the two never sees that unless they scroll, and there is nothing of yours for them to land on.

The photographs

Deliberately empty Your Google listing has photos of the place, but not one of them was posted by you. They were all taken by customers. This is a business people walk around, and that is the one thing a page like this can show them before they drive out.
What I would want, and it is ten minutes on a phone

The benches when they are full. The greenhouse looking down the row. The entrance from the highway so somebody knows what they are slowing down for. One of whoever is working that day, because your reviews are about the people more than the plants.

And the cat, if the cat is willing. Two separate reviews mention a cat. A big box does not have a cat.

What this page is

This is a concept, built to show you what a page for the nursery could look like. It is not live, nothing has been published, and there is nothing to sign.

One more thing, and I would check this today

Your Facebook page has a website link on it. It goes to greenthumblr.com, which is a pond and garden centre in Little Rock, Arkansas. Same name, different state, and the LR in it is Little Rock.

I do not know whether you put it there, whether Facebook filled it in on its own, or whether somebody else added it. But five hundred and seventy seven people follow that page, and anybody who taps that link ends up two thousand miles away.
